About

avatar

After studying law, I worked as a tax consultant in global mobility for EY in France.

After 5 years working in tax law, I moved to Toronto, working as a customer support specialist for a tech startup from New Zealand. This experience marked my introduction to the tech company environment and was my first exposure to coding.

It sparked an interest, and I undertook training with Le wagon bootcamp to pursue becoming a web developer.

In my free time, I love to travel and going to the theatre!

Background

Jan 2024 - Mar 2024
Le Wagon Web Development Bootcamp
Ruby on Rails Bootstrap Stimulus JS
I undertook a nine week bootcamp where I built a solid foundation in software development and databases. Through rigorous training in front-end and back-end technologies, I gained proficiency in building web applications and implementing industry best practices. I’ve collaborated with a diverse team on real-world projects, and demonstrated problem-solving abilities, resolving coding challenges while taking a project from concept to completion.

My final project:

HobbyConnect - I pitched the initial idea that was selected to be developed. I worked with three other teammates to plan and create a user-friendly mobile app that connects people through shared hobbies and events. The app uses an icon-based matching system for quick and easy connections, and provides a platform to create and share events.
Jan 2023 - dec 2023
Australia
Adaptability
After a one-month solo road-trip in New-Zealand, I wanted to see some of Australia. I lived in Melbourne for just under a year, working casually in a bakery. In Australia, I travelled to many places over the state of Victoria, parts of New South Whales and a trip around Tasmania. It was an amazing experience to spend time in such a unique and incredible place.
Aug 2020 - July 2022
Bilingual Customer Support Specialist at MOBI
Quick learning Customer focus

Problem-solving
MOBI (previously Mobi2go) is a New-Zealand based SaaS start-up.

This experience marked my introduction to the tech company environment and was my first exposure to coding. I didn’t have a technical background at this stage however I had to collaborate regularly with the dev team, giving me the opportunity to see how they operated on a daily basis.

It was a challenging and amazing experience. It allowed me to discover how a small structure works as well as allowing me to be exposed to many facets of the business and the people supporting those areas.
Jan 2015 - Oct 2019
Senior Tax Consultant at EY
Teamwork Problem-solving
For five years, I was a tax consultant in the Global Mobility department. This department specialises in personal income tax matters for employees from medium to large companies who are sent abroad.

Working in a large, global company gave me a good insight into company processes and working with global teams in a specialised field.
